Reliance attack: Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee issues showcause notice to NSUI leader
Hyderabad, Jan 9 : Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee President D Srinivas today issued a showcause notice to former National Students Union of India (NSUI) State President Vamshi Chand Reddy in connection with 'provocative' SMS message on Thursday night which had led to attacks on outlets of India's top corporate house.
It may be noted that after some regional television channels on Thursday night telecast a Russian Portal's expose alleging conspiracy behind the helicopter crash on September 2 last year, supporters, claiming to be that of ''Jagan Yuvasena'' and ''YSR Yuvasena,'' went on a rampage, attacking outlets of Reliance Group of companies.
In the showcause notice, a copy of which was released to the press here, Mr Srinivas referred to media reports today alleging that a provocative message, containing ''Attack all Reliance outlets in protest against their hand in the air accident of our beloved leader YSR. Jai YSR. Ch Vamshi Chand Reddy,'' was sent out at 2123 hrs on January 7.
Mr Srinivas said ''those news clippings also carry a facsimile of note issued by service provider, which indicates that you as State President, NSUI, with client name as Vamshi, are holding the SMS account : BA-Youth with mobile numbers 9949776677 and 9490116751''.
Mr Srinivas asked him to explain within three days, from the date of receipt of the notice, why disciplinary action should not be taken against him.
