TRS initiates confidence building programmes

Hyderabad, Jan 10 : Pro-Telangana activists today conducted a ''Telangana Sahajeevan 10 km run'' from the Tank Bund to the Indira park to instill confidence among all sections of people in Hyderabad especially those from Coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema that they could continue to live in peace as and when new a state Telangana is created.Speaking on the occasion, Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) President K Chandrasekar Rao's daughter Kavitha assured the people from all over the state and different parts of the country, who had settled in Hyderabad, that they need not have any apprehension.

''All can live together in peace after creation of Telangana state'', she said.

Referring to Chief Minister K Rosaiah's remarks that the film industry was planning to shift to Chennai fearing attacks, she said except for a few persons like Chiranjeevi and Mohan Babu, no other film personality had made such a threat.

Film personalites who had created permanent infrastructure including Ramoji Film City would continue here itself, she added.

As the police refused permission for run around the Hussain Sagar lake, the participants took another route.

Meanwhile, the state police refused to give permission for the participants to run on the necklace road in view of the traffic and they had to take another route to complete the 10 km run at the Indira park.
