Kurnool, Jan 11 : Telugu Desam Party (TDP) Legislator K E Prabhakar was today arrested for allegedly mandhandling a woman Government official during the elections to the Cooperatives in the district in September last year.The Pattikonda MLA was arrested from his residence amid attempts by his supporters to prevent it.
He was arrested on the basis of a case registered at Dhone Police Station where security had been upgraded, police said.
The police had last night taken into custody former Congress Minister M Mareppa for his alleged provocative allegations telecast by private television channel TV5 over the ''death'' of former Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, police added.
